This week we went deep — into elokus, into tefillah, into what it actually takes to bring Moshiach. Then we came up for air: a workout, a trip to the park for basketball, art class, and Thursday night’s farbrengen.
Rabbi Feldman with the bochurim this week — one of the many ordinary moments that make up a week of real growth together.
We spent the week learning how to actually feel and connect to elokus — Godly energy. Everything on the side of kedusha carries a flood of that energy; everything on the side of sitra achra barely has any.
When we lock into living a life filled with godliness, the way we see our lives changes completely. We start to realize that everything that happens to us is from Hashem — and because Hashem is good, everything He does is good too. The more we live that way, the more we actually feel it.
We traced tefillah back to the words hatofel kli cheres — fixing a broken clay vessel. That’s what davening really is: not just words, but the way we reconnect our neshama to Hashem, making the two of them one again.
No shortage of effort on this week’s workout — planks held, pushups counted, and everyone pushing a little past where they thought they’d stop.
We discussed how every deadline galus was ever given has already come and gone — we are ready for Moshiach right now. The way we make that real is by focusing on ourselves: becoming the best version of who we can be, learning Torah, and doing mitzvos. That’s how we bring Moshiach into our actual lives.
“We choose what we believe.”
We talked about how much power we actually have over our own beliefs. If there’s a belief that isn’t serving us, we have the power to let it go and choose differently instead. It’s that simple — it isn’t easy. Welcome to the work.
We talked about how the healthy way to live is a modest one — and how we’re never truly alone, because Hashem is with us always, loving and caring about each of us tremendously.
Tuesday afternoon brought out everyone’s inner artist in art class, a round of basketball got everyone outside and moving, and the week wrapped with lunch out together — and Thursday night’s farbrengen.
